Customer Support Specialist
Description:
A Customer Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for all inbound communications including phone calls, an internal email/messaging system, and a real time instant help system. An expert in product usage, a Support Specialist will provide tier 1 technical support to district administrators, parents, and students. The Support Specialist will communicate and work in cooperation with the client services, education, and technology departments in providing customer feedback to ensure each customer has a successful experience with our products and services. They will help monitor student progress and execute an internal completion policy by making outbound calls to students and parents to review course progression.
Requirements:

HR Generalist
Description:
Under the general direction of the Advanced Academics Director of Administration/HR and in conjunction with the DeVry Online Human Resources Director, this position is responsible for the Advanced Academics HR Generalist activities in the areas of employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, special projects and other company HR initiatives.
Requirements:

Inside Sales Representative
Description:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue through Tier III sales strategy. In addition, will provide sales support to field representatives, implementation support, and assist Regional Director and Inside Sales Manager in all account related efforts.

Science Curriculum Developer
Description:
The Science Curriculum Developer is a member of the Curriculum Development department, which supports the company by creating and maintaining all instructional materials used by our clients. The Science Curriculum Developer is responsible for the planning, designing, and writing of content and assessments for the development of online secondary Science academic courses. This position is also responsible for ensuring accuracy of curriculum content and assessments in the subject area. The Science Curriculum Developer works closely with the Curriculum Development Manager to ensure timely review of instructional content, create achievable timelines for building new courses and revising existing ones, and coordinating with the Education Department staff to edit and maintain courses.
Requirements:
Candidate should possess an advanced degree with a focus in the subject area or have equivalent experience. A background in physical science or chemistry is preferred. Candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of science, instructional design, and standards-based educational practices to ensure that the course content is engaging, accurate, and meets the appropriate state and national education standards. Must also possess strong written communication skills and should have an understanding of editing and curriculum development. Knowledge of current educational issues such as curriculum standards and correlations is also required. Candidate should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage others to achieve goals, and possess a proven track record to meet deadlines.
Subject area expertise and a minimum of five years experience in writing curriculum is required. Previous teaching experience in Science courses at the secondary level, preferably in an online setting, is highly recommended.
Additional Skills:
Technical - The Science Curriculum Developer should have a solid understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook and should also have a strong working knowledge of the Internet, FTP, and basic HTML. The ability to work with Adobe Photoshop and Flash is strongly preferred.
Management - The Science Curriculum Developer should have experience with project management and should be able to positively communicate with team members and contract staff to efficiently coordinate projects.

Senior Software Developer
Description:
Under general supervision from the Software Manager, the Senior Software Developer will develop software pursuant to the project assigned by the Software Manager. Often the Senior Software Developer will take a leadership role on a small team of three to four developers for the duration of a given project. This position reports to the Software Manager.

Student Achievement Coordinator
Description:
The Student Achievement Coordinator is responsible for student orientation, retention and satisfaction. He/she accomplishes this by making welcoming contact, providing continuous and regular advising and serving as the liaison for Advanced Academics offerings to a cohort of students enrolled in Advanced Academics direct-to-student accounts.
Requirements:
Prior experience working with students in either an online or site-based setting; ideally some background in customer service, support or counseling.
Ability to understand and teach the use of Web-based technology via phone and Web-conference.
Commitment to helping students succeed academically and develop a strong relationship that will provide them with a single point-of-contact to address education, technology or other barriers that could hinder satisfactory progress towards graduation.
Capability to work across departments to find resolution to issues that might inhibit student learning and success.
Working knowledge and competence with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; plus experience with online applications.
